As a business owner, your Google Business Profile is an essential platform to attract potential customers, engage with existing ones, and build your online presence. One of the critical aspects of your Google Business Profile is customer reviews, as they significantly influence the decision-making process of potential customers.
If you’ve noticed that some of your reviews are not appearing on your Google Business Profile, here’s some clarity on why these reviews may not be showing or are delayed.
Google Review Violations - Google may remove reviews that violate its guidelines, such as spam, fake content, or offensive language. Please see more on the content that violates Google’s guidelines by clicking here.
User Account History - If a reviewer's Google account gets suspended, or if it is considered spammy, their reviews may be removed from your Google Business Profile.
Review Moderation - Google Reviews often go through many rounds of moderation. Often, a machine will do the first rounds of moderations, and may go through another round where it is reviewed by a human. This can result in a review being deleted or delayed.
User-Deleted Reviews - Sometimes, a user may delete their own review.
Duplicate Business Listings - If you have two Google Business Profiles for the same location, this can cause confusion for the user and for Google. If you do have a duplicate GBP listing, please notify the Marketing Team at marketing@qualicare.com so that we can resolve this.
Google Issues - In some cases, Google may be experiencing issues that affect reviews appearing.
Here are some things that you can do to help keep your Google Business Profile and reviews compliant with Google’s guidelines.
Maintain accurate listing information - Ensure that your business name, address, phone number, and website are accurate and up-to-date.
Log in to your profile regularly - Google may un-verify your Google Business Profile if you have not logged on in more than 6 months. When this happens, your profile will not appear on Google and customers cannot leave you reviews until you have reverified.
Encourage genuine reviews - Request satisfied customers to leave reviews about their experiences with your business. Share the direct link to your Google Review form to make the process easier, but avoid offering incentives or manipulating reviews.
Respond to all reviews - Acknowledge both positive and negative reviews by responding to them professionally and promptly. Thank your customers for their feedback and address any concerns or issues raised in the reviews.
Monitor reviews regularly - Stay informed about new reviews by monitoring your Google Business Profile frequently. Set up notifications to alert you when new reviews are posted.
Report policy violations - If you encounter a review that violates Google's review guidelines, such as spam, fake content, or offensive language, report it to Google for removal.
