How to Verify Your Google Business Profile

Verifying your Qualicare business location on Google is essential for enhancing your online presence and ensuring clients can find you easily. If you're setting up your GBP for the first time or need to re-verify, Google may ask you to submit a short video to confirm your business. This guide will walk you through the video verification process:

Before You Start

  1. You must record your video through your Business Profile on a mobile device.
  2. The video must be unedited, at least 30 seconds, and recorded in one take.
  3. Do not include sensitive information such as client details, faces of other people, or private documents.

What to Show in Your Video

Physical Location:

  1. Show your location - Include your address, nearby landmarks, and signs that prove your business is where you say it is on Google Maps.
  2. Show your signage - Film your business name on permanent fixtures like a storefront sign or window decal.
  3. Prove you manage the business - Show yourself accessing private areas like a staff room or unlocking the front door to demonstrate your authority over the location.

Service-Area Business:

  1. Show where you operate - Show the location where you offer your services. Good examples include signs in your service area that advertise your business or street signs and landmarks next to your business. 
  2. Show proof your business exists - Film marketing materials, branded uniforms, or any permanent signage displaying your business name.
  3. Prove you're the business owner - Record yourself providing the service or showing business documents. For example, business registration, invoices, or utility bills that match the name on your Business Profile.

How to Submit the Video

Step 1: Record & Upload

  1. Open your Google Business Profile on your mobile device.
  2. Tap Get verified > Capture video.
  3. Tap Start recording, film your video, then tap Stop.
  4. Review your video. If needed, re-record by tapping Try again.
  5. Tap Upload video to submit.

Step 2: Wait for Review

  1. Google will review your video within 5 business days.
  2. If it’s accepted, your business will be verified.
  3. If it’s not accepted, you’ll see a message explaining what was missing and can try again.

🔁 Common Reasons for Rejection:

  1. Business name not visible
  2. Didn’t show location surroundings
  3. Didn’t prove you're authorized to manage the business
