Your wrapped vehicle is more than just a car; it is your moving billboard. As you do not have a store front, this moving billboard can be strategically placed to build brand awareness around your local communities and generate leads. Repetition creates awareness in advertising and add to that the three rights (Right Time, Right Place, and Right Frame of Mind) to increase the car wrap’s success. As your business grows, you will likely bring on more moving billboards to create your very own ‘fleet’.
What Is a Car Wrap?
A car wrap is a digitally printed mobile billboard that is professionally installed on your vehicle. Wraps can encompass the entire vehicle or a portion of it, including the windows, and are printed in full color with eye-catching graphics. They are made from heavy-duty vinyl and typically last three to five years.
Goal:
- Invest in a car wrap with Fetch graphics before grand opening
- After year 1, invest in a second car wrap for the Care Manager who is doing in-home consults and/or for your Community Relationship Manager speaking with professional referrals
- Execute a couple Spot the Quali-Care Campaigns per year that are focused on the car wrap to measure the ROI
Benefits of Car Wraps
- Brand awareness and consistency: Car wraps can legitimize your business by getting your logo and brand recognized by potential customers. They can also help unify a campaign's look and feel because they incorporate the same branding elements from your other marketing channels.
- Attention Grabbing: Brightly colored, attractive car wraps make them stand out from all the other cars on the road. They cannot be ignored, muted or turned off.
- Reach a Wider Audience: Depending on how many vehicles you own, how often they are on the road and how far they travel; you can reach a larger audience with a vehicle wrap than almost any other form of advertising.
- Strategic and creative versatilities: Car wraps are mobile billboards that travel into the view of potential customers instead of you waiting for them to run into a brochure at a medical center. They are big impact, high visibility mediums to be used for long-term advertising or short-term event or service promotions.
- Cost Effective: The initial investment of the car wrap is a fraction of the cost of other long term advertising campaigns and generate results for years.
- Car wraps will be advertising your business 24/7 and 365 days a year, for up to 5 years, making the actual amortized investment manageable - a few dollars a day.
- Low cost because we do not compete for space like billboards, radio, or TV
- Free word-of-mouth advertising
- Free promotional distribution
- Local Targeting: Driving and parking a wrapped car around your local area can dramatically increase awareness among those who live or work nearby.
- Parked cars also attract the attention of pedestrians, especially in a busy urban setting, but also at local community centre events, conferences and tradeshows.
Approved Car Wrap Designs
It is recommended that all vehicles being wrapped use a Home Office approved car wrap design to ensure consistent brand messaging and to ensure you are adhering to our brand standards as per your franchise agreement. If you use a different car wrap design, please send Home Office your design proofs for recommendations.
The Car Wrap should:
- Effectively display the brand messaging in 1-2 takeaways
- Brand logo, tagline, and phone number
- Have visuals and text that is easy-to-read
- Additional feature to hold business cards on the side of the car
Approved Vehicles
The list of approved vehicle styles have not been confirmed at this time. Please use your judgement when determining what car to wrap, if it is your own or a leased car. A large sedan works well or a small SUV. A pickup truck however is not consistent with our brand.
Consider who will drive the wrapped car?
- Care Manager doing in-home consults
- Owner/Community Relationship Manager going to meet with professional referrals
- Owner/Community Relationship Manager attending local events/conferences
- Caregivers going to meet clients needing transportation services
Driving Best Practices
If someone, other than yourself are driving the wrapped car(s), ensure that they are fully aware of what it takes to represent the brand positively to safeguard your local public image.
- Use the car to be a Town Hero
- Stop and help a senior cross the road
- Offer to gIve a senior a lift if you see them waiting for public transit in horrible weather conditions
- Pick up a Caregiver from their shift if they had to stay longer than expected with the client
- Ensure that your car wrap looks professional and is not damaged in any way
- Check the car every month for any scratches, tears or graffiti and fix as soon as possible
- Make sure that they abide by the driving laws
- No speeding
- No careless driving
- No police pullovers
Effective Marketing Strategies Using your Car Wrap
1. Park Strategically
You own a billboard and you want to maximize its exposure. When you aren't driving in high traffic, you should be parked in a highly visible area.
- Choose where to park and when to park depending on your target audience
- For clients and family members, drive around neighborhoods as people are getting home from work, community centers, busy shopping malls, whole foods, high-end hair salons, etc.
- For professional referrals, park in plazas where there are medical clinics or offices during high rush hours (mornings or afternoons ideally).
- For Caregivers, park close to schools, coffee shops and grocery stores
- Scope out each location for a week to see the demographics that go to the location, and when it is busiest.
- Map out these spots by days of the week.
2. Events
- Non-participant:
- Target events in your area that attract your target audience. Perhaps there is a job fair in your area or a community run for charity raising funds for a specific medical condition. Get there early and park in high traffic areas.
- Participant:
- Outdoor event: If you have a booth/tent, park your car close by.
- Trade show: If allowed, you can also use your car as a centerpiece at trade shows by your booth. Nothing attracts attention like a giant 3D billboard of your brand right in the middle of your booth.
3. Spot the Quali-Car Marketing Campaign
- A campaign like The Spot the Quali-Car Contest is an easy and effective campaign to implement on your Facebook business page. It will increase online engagement, but also a great community marketing activity that helps build your brand.
- This can be run at any time during the year and can even be done a few times a year.
- Add this to your website, print, and social media campaigns to generate buzz and leverage your car as a promotional vehicle.
Measuring ROI of your Car Wrap
According to the OAAA (Outdoor Advertising Association of America), mobile advertising can be the
most effective and efficient form of out of home advertising, reaching more consumers at a lower cost per thousand impressions* than any other form of advertising. It is estimated that a wrap costs around $0.04 per thousand impressions, while other forms of advertising cost significantly more. For instance, it’s estimated that outdoor signs cost $3.56 per thousand impressions and newspaper ads cost $19.70 for that number of impressions. Depending on city and population size, a single car wrap can generate between 30,000 and 80,000 daily impressions.
There is no average return on investment (ROI) for car wraps because it will depend on the homecare industry, where and when the car is driven, and the effectiveness of the wrap design. But there are ways you can measure your return.
- Have a unique tracking number that is only advertised on your car wrap. This will allow you to find the number of leads generated from the car wrap.
- Create a special landing page for your website and put that URL on the wrap. Qualicare.com/QualiCar

CPM: Cost Per Thousand impressions is an industry standard unit of measure which defines how much money it costs to receive 1000 views of an advertisement.
